CAPELLO DELIVERS 'LEADERS' PRIVATE FORUM

10:54am Friday, 5th March 2010

ENGLAND manager Fabio Capello gave an exclusive and revealing insight into the art of successful football management at a private forum for 50 sporting and business leaders organised by Leaders in Performance.

Leading sporting and political heavyweights listened to Capello talk about leadership, teamwork, and success as he charted his career through club and international management.

Leaders in Football Chief Executive James Worrall said: "We are tremendously honoured that Fabio agreed to give us such a rare and prestigious access into his 'world'.

"He spoke passionately and incisively about the disciplines and skills of football management and the attributes of leadership.

"Every one of our guests was spellbound by the access and such a rare opportunity to listen to one of world football's most inspiring and successful managers.

"This private forum demonstrates the ethos of the Leaders brand - facilitating access and networking with world football's most successful and dynamic individuals."

Capello - who donated his time for free for the engagement - spoke in London last Friday just hours after returning from a pre-World Cup trip to South Africa.

FA Communications Director Adrian Bevington said: "Fabio enjoyed the opportunity to discuss management and leadership in a private and convivial environment.

"It was excellently organised and afforded some of our leading sports practitioners the opportunity to understand a little more about the demands of international and club football management at the highest level."

Leaders in Performance is an international conference dedicated to the business of winning on the field and is run alongside Leaders in Football, the world's most exclusive football business event. Both take place over 6th and 7th October 2010 at Chelsea FC, London.
